Several NGOs are calling for an independent investigation into the killing of veteran Palestinian journalist Shireen Abu Akleh, who was shot by Israeli forces on Wednesday as she was covering a raid in the occupied West Bank city of Jenin for television network .

US: Muslim call to prayer broadcast publicly in Minneapolis in ‘historic’ first

The Muslim call to prayer, the Athan, is now being publicly broadcast in the US city of Minneapolis for the first time.

It will be broadcast five times a day during the month of Ramadan to provide the city’s Muslim minority a sense of normalcy amid the coronavirus pandemic.
